The Fall
04:27
|
|||
Silver trees, silver tears,
Leaves as red as blood
Timeless sleep, timeless drip,
Wash it all in the flood...
You should have seen the games they played
You should have seen it all wash away
You should have heard the way they talked
You should have seen it
You should have seen the fall!
Golden meadows, murky shallows,
Hard to swallow the mud
Gathered pebbles, flotsam rubble,
Washed away by the flood
You should have seen the games they played
You should have seen it all wash away
You should have heard the way they talked
You should have seen it
You should have seen the fall!

YEARS DIE ENDLESSLY
Extemporaneously reproached, benighted, and besieged,
Exalted target of the tellurian fantasy
A zeitgeist of threshing throes enraptured and ensconced,
Didactic denigrated and unerringly nuanced.
Cathartic cataracts opaque embellish sanguine ties
Sifting silicates enmesh and deplete with the tides
Kundalini coalescing into the shakti
Truculent assimilation into society
Forever dreaming black
The years die endlessly
Forever dreaming black
The years die endlessly
Nefelibata descendant immersed in curdled soil
Effervescent redolence ambuscading toil
Occluding and diverting the procession through the mire
Revenant of antecedent ascendance of the spire
Explication of the pneuma yields lubricity
Solecism of iniquitous profligacy
Enthralling fervent sycophants embellishing repute
Exacerbates asperity eliciting dispute
Forever dreaming black
The years die endlessly
Forever dreaming black
The years die endlessly
WE THE PEOPLE
One side openly disdains you, one side unable to help you
And now your next door neighbor hates you, because you voted the other way
Both of you are being screwed, duped into a cooked-up feud
Struggling for house and food, and lucky to have a job
Living your life day-to-day, watching yourself fade to gray
Soon they're gonna take it all away
We the people of planet Earth have the capability
To set things right and make life fair, together towards prosperity
We the people of planet Earth lack the integrity
Ground down into desperate greed, a vicious cycle to prey and feed
Research endless energy - piss off major companies
Who'll assassinate your character - your reputation in the grave
Environmental devastation - lawsuits against corporations
Pass the bill onto you - recessions to come
Watching your rights slip away, see it happen every day
Soon they're gonna take us all away
We the people of planet Earth do not have to stand for this
We can stop the power games - we can win the world
We the people of planet Earth have free will to make a change
It begins within ourselves, stand up to the greed

Anachronism
07:30
|
|||
An anachronism am I.
A shadowy image of an era
That never was.
Or at least not how it’s remembered.
But it’s alright.
For I wield the thunder,
Buzzing with the volume
Of a thousand sums.
Channeling
Frequencies unheard
Beneath the roar
Of the storm.
A symbiotic parasite devours its own host, destroying itself in turn.
Colliding with itself, scraping against its own textures.
The heat of friction sears the skin, causing the flesh to burn.
Bearing down upon reflections, with shards of fractures of the norm.
Scrambling for time, all misaligned
Desynchronized, I don’t have time for this.
Tireless self-immolation manifest, disintegration is the key.
Surgical precision opens up the way into the streams
Of conscious incompetence, paving the way to perfect mastery.
Through mindless determination, traversing all of our dreams.
Scrambling for time, all misaligned
Desynchronized, I don’t have time for this.

We have come this far
From the womb of time
Dispassionate ancient star
Witness to anthropicide
Desperately we cried
That this was not the way
Our voices left unheard
As greed held sway
It will cost a million lives
To make them realize
Even then, will they care?
If their end is laid bare?
Power and supremacy,
The only things that matter
Like locusts we feed
On organic matter
It will cost a billion souls
Before the truth is plain
By then it will be too late
The Earth a bloody stain

Inhabitation
05:20
|
|||
I am not a warrior
I am not a leader
I am not a diplomat
I am an inhabitant
Humans will never change
Though you may find things strange
No matter how far away you are
From knowing what you truly are
Habits that form are too hard to break
Inhabit this form; there's too much at stake
Habits that form are what you make
Inhabit this form and arise awake
In the fibers of our beings
Lay the structures that built our feelings
Are you searching for a greater meaning?
What if there really is no meaning?
Habits that form are too hard to break
Inhabit this form; there's too much at stake
Habits that form are what you make
Inhabit this form and arise awake

Drum samples enqueueing
Compression and tuning
Pushing the levels
Into the noise
So many musicians
Vying for your time
All of their voices
Getting lost in the noise
The signal-to-noise ratio is hitting the floor.
This is the music
Of our time
Losing the message
In an onslaught of noise
The signal-to-noise ratio is hitting the floor.
Can you hear me?
Am I getting through?
Or am I just screaming
Into the noise?
The signal-to-noise ratio just hit the floor.
